Join us for Heritage Open Days
Help us celebrate
We’ll be open from 10.00 -16.00 on 12, 13 and 14 Sept as part of Heritage Open Days, so come and help us celebrate the ARC’s 10th anniversary together with 100 years of Thinking Day, when Girl Guides remember friends all over the world – 11.5 million members in 153 countries.
To celebrate these anniversaries the ARC will be having a ‘wide game’ available to play, as well as displays. The wide game offers opportunities for a range of activities and testing situations to see if you can achieve the badge! Often played in small groups, this game gives the chance to follow the timeline of the history of Girlguiding Norfolk through the past 115 years through activities linked to timely themes.
We will be finding out a lot more about Nora, a Guide of Gressenhall whose collection has attracted funding from NorAH with which are reaching a wider audience as we research all the social history linked to Nora, particularly through her badges, fashion, hobbies, interests, food and transport of the time.
