Sometimes these young people are creating posts for social media using items from the collection, sometimes they are making fun activities for other girls to try, and sometimes they are cooking outside on a tin can!
Previous ARC Angel projects include:
· Creating the Time Traveller challenge badge
· Filming videos to show off old Guiding skills
· Creating albums and posters using digital programs
· Dressing up in 1940s uniforms and blitz cooking
· Crafting collages for a museum display in Norwich
· Produced an online advent calendar for social media
"Being an ARC Angel is a great way to meet other like-minded people who are passionate about Guiding history."
"I love seeing the old badges and making activities for other girls to try. I can't believe I even talked on the radio at the ARC!"
Guides, Rangers, young leaders, and Inspire members can join ARC Angels. The ARC values having the younger generation offer their opinions and perspectives on how to show off its large collection and engage new people in the long history of Girlguiding. The group is creative in bringing Guiding history alive in new and modern ways, and offers opportunities for those challenging themselves with the Queen's Guide and other youth awards.
